What Senior Care Record Map is

Senior Care Record Map is an independent research tool that aggregates and ranks public government records about senior-care facilities — assisted-living and residential-care data from the California Department of Social Services, and nursing-home data (including CMS star ratings, inspection deficiencies, and staffing) from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any government agency or any facility listed.

Not advice, not a verdict

Senior Care Record Map is for general informational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice, and a safety grade is one signal, not a verdict on any facility. Records and prices change, data can contain errors, and a grade cannot capture everything about a place. Always verify a facility's current licensing status, inspection history, and pricing directly with the facility and the relevant licensing agency before making any decision.

Acceptable use

You may use Senior Care Record Map for your own personal, non-commercial research. You agree not to scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the data or the site; not to misrepresent Senior Care Record Map's grades as official government ratings; and not to use the site to harass any facility or its staff. Automated access that burdens the service is not permitted.

Senior Care Record Map Pro

Senior Care Record Map Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional research features (full inspection/complaint/citation detail and saving/tagging/comparison/export tools). Payment is processed by Gumroad; your purchase is also subject to Gumroad's terms. Pro is licensed to you for personal use and is verified by a license key. We may improve, change, or discontinue specific features over time. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.

Third-party services & links

The site relies on third parties, including Gumroad (payments and license verification for Senior Care Record Map Pro), Google AdSense (advertising, on pages where ads are enabled), a privacy-respecting analytics service, an open-source map-tile provider, and links out to official government sources (state licensing agencies, CMS Care Compare, etc.). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties; their own terms and privacy policies apply. See our privacy policy for what each of them receives.

Data corrections & facility responses

Senior Care Record Map indexes public government records. If a record is wrong, out of date, or missing context, please use the Report an error page. Licensed facility operators may also submit an official response that we will publish on the facility's page. We correct verified factual errors regardless of who reports them.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site and its data are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Senior Care Record Map and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
